Formation Skydiving
Formation skydiving has been a fundamental part of skydiving for many years now.
It involves teams of skydivers exiting the aircraft together and making as many formations as they can within their allotted time before opening their canopies.
Teams can have 4 members (known as 4-way), 8 members (8-way) or 16 members and beyond.
A cameraman jumps with the team to film them and allow the judges to score the skydive.
At top level the competition is fierce with some of the best 4-way teams completing 30 formations or more!
